Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) Director has expanded its “10,000 Steps” fitness program, covering all ZCPO personnel.

The program has been expanded effective Wednesday, January 26, 2022, the fifth day of its implementation with a starting point of the Pasonanca Village Speed ​​Walk to ZCPO Headquarters in Zone 4 Village, Zamboaanga City.

Police Colonel Alexander Lorenzo, Acting ZCPO Director, introduced the fitness program days after taking office as the new ZCPO chief.

The “10,000 Steps” program was initially intended for those who were classified as overweight based on their body mass index (BMI).

“Keeping the body healthy is everyone’s business,” Lorenzo told his staff, advising them to maintain a healthy diet and exercise.

The 10,000 Steps is intended to encourage all ZCPO staff to participate in daily physical activity to keep their bodies healthy and ready to enthusiastically accomplish the organization’s mission.

Lorenzo said he introduced the program to provide competent, professional, effective and efficient ZCPO staff. (SunStar Zamboanga)
