The program “Arise! PSC’s Get in Shape! Shares Fitness Tips for Seniors

THE Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) “Rise Up! Get in shape!” The web series is dedicating its Saturday episode to helping seniors stay healthy and active.

Featured in the episode are four-time Bowling World Cup champion Bong Coo and Cynthia Carrion, president of the Philippine Gymnastics Association.

They will share tips for aging gracefully, staying fit and living a healthy lifestyle.

University of the Philippines-Diliman Associate Professor Dr. Maria Luisa Guinto will also discuss the psychological aspects of aging, while Santiago City Adventist Hospital geriatrician Dr. Florosita Reyes will share advice on health care for the elderly.

PSC Women in Sport Commissioner Celia Kiram stresses the importance of a healthy and fit lifestyle, especially as you get older.

“As we age, our bodies change. But we can help our bodies age through exercise and healthy eating,” she said.

The episode “Rise Up, Shape Up” will be hosted by Bam Mogato, a certified fitness instructor with the American Council on Exercise. Mogato also joined the jury during the Zumbarangay Dance Challenge organized by the PSC-Women in Sports last year.

The weekly program is broadcast via Facebook and YouTube every Saturday and Sunday at 7 p.m. For more information on Rise Up! Get in shape! visit his official Facebook page at and his YouTube page
