Shaun T is a renowned American fitness trainer, choreographer and entrepreneur known for his fitness programs for children and adults. He has also starred in TV shows like Dr. Oz and Oprah.

He joined the gym to get rid of the weight he had gained in first grade due to physical inactivity and focusing only on academics. This decision to join the gym and switch to sports science completely changed his life. Shaun T is also a choreographer who worked as a backup dancer for Mariah Carey.

Now, after so many years, Shaun is a fitness trainer and speaker giving people workout tips. This article will discuss his workout routine and diet with Shaun T, which helped him stay fit and healthy. Let’s start!

Shaun T’s Workout Routine

Shaun combines different types of training in his workouts, such as speed drills, heavy lifting, and bodyweight workouts. However, he still focuses on getting maximum intensity in the workouts. He believes that you can only grow after stepping out of your comfort zone. Shaun also gives the same advice to his clients: constantly question and dig deeper.

His workout routine also includes stretching and high-intensity cardio workouts. Stretching exercises improve flexibility and warm up the body, while cardio workouts help remove sweat from the body.

Shaun targets different parts of the body in his workout routine. These include the trunk, arms, legs, glutes, and back.

He is the creator of Insanity workouts and follows a similar workout routine. The Insanity program offers various workouts targeting different parts of the body. These include cardio exercises, abdominal exercises, recovery workouts, intense interval circuits, and more.

Shaun advises you not to see results immediately after training; therefore, patience and positivity are key to staying dedicated and creating a healthy lifestyle.

The Shaun T Diet

Shaun follows a strict diet routine filled with green vegetables and clean foods. He fasts about 16 hours a day with breakfast as the first meal is around 10:00 in the morning and dinner is the last meal around 6:00 in the evening.

Shaun T eats breakfast around 10:00 a.m., consisting of eight scrambled eggs, avocado and bacon. He loves avocados and sometimes pairs them with fish. Shaun swaps bacon for chicken when restricting calories. It all adds up to a good trendy breakfast.

Sometimes this fitness trainer likes to eat gluten-free pancakes for breakfast.

After the main breakfast, he eats his favorite snacks and berries and drinks coffee to get on with the day.

training meal

Before midday practice, Shaun likes to treat himself to mashed sweet potatoes without dressing. He considers it a powerful food that increases the energy level of the muscles. After training, he avoids eating anything for a few hours so as not to fill up his body. However, he drinks a lot of water during this time.

Having dinner

Shaun likes to eat quinoa, spinach and steak with bacon for the last meal of the day. Shaun T’s meals contain nutrients such as vitamins, healthy fats and proteins. This well-balanced diet will aid in muscle recovery while increasing energy levels.

The physical trainer takes several steps to eliminate toxins from the system from time to time. These steps include intermittent fasting, following a strict dietary protocol, drinking lemon water on an unfilled stomach, and fasting for twenty-four hours.

Additionally, Shaun T likes to eat donuts once a week and avoids consuming a lot of red meat.

He believes in maintaining good gut health by eating cleanly and eliminating toxins from the body. As Shaun said, poor eating habits irritate the gut, which makes it harder to lose weight. Gut buildup due to poor eating habits can lead to digestive issues and greater resistance to weight loss. That is why it takes appropriate measures to eliminate toxins from the body.

Shaun T’s diet and workout routine may seem a bit difficult to follow, but it has done wonders for keeping the fitness trainer healthy and active.

To get a body like Shaun, you can always start with small steps and progress to advanced workouts. However, modify it according to individual needs and preferences to make it a healthy lifestyle.

According to Shaun, change is never easy, but putting in more effort will dramatically improve your lifestyle. So never hesitate to work hard. Rather than viewing a workout as a chore, find the exercise you love, and only then will it be sustainable for a long time.
