BURTON Albion first-team players Tom Hewlett and Callum Hawkins have been loaned out.
The Hewlett striker has joined Redditch United on a 28-day loan as he seeks to accelerate his return to full fitness after a broken leg and ankle in training 13 months ago – he will be in their squad for face Lowestoft Town tomorrow afternoon.
Goalkeeper Hawkins will also travel to Leamington FC on a 28-day loan. The goalkeeper joins the semi-final opponents of the Brewers Birmingham Senior Cup and will be part of the Brakes squad to face Chester FC tomorrow.
Hasselbaink said: “Tom has come back from a horrible injury and needs game time to play week after week so he can keep going.
“Callum is our third-choice keeper and we want him to have playing time as well. We can call him up whenever we want, so it makes perfect sense to send him on.”
Bryn Morris will remain at Hartlepool United, Aaron Amadi-Holloway at Barrow AFC and Michael Bostwick at Stevenage Borough, all until the end of the season.
Thierry Latty-Fairweather will remain at National League north side Guiseley until the end of the season.
Luke Redfern will stay at Sutton Coldfield Town until the end of the season.
Scholar Ben Radcliffe will remain at Mickleover, but striker Callum Niven has been recalled from his loan spell with former Brewers midfielder John McGrath’s squad.
Charlie Williams has been recalled from his time at Redditch United, along with goalkeeper Dan Moore who enjoyed playing time at Worksop Town.
Jakub Niemczyk will stay at Belper Town until the end of the season.
