Health club operator Anytime Fitness has secured a deal for space at Lynch Wood Park in Peterborough, property and asset management firm FI Real Estate Management (FIREM) has revealed.
Anytime Fitness has signed a 15-year contract for 14,000 square feet of space on the ground floor of the Grade II listed office building.
The space will be dedicated to cardio and strength training equipment, functional training areas and a studio for group exercise classes, as well as private bathrooms. The club will also host a series of nutrition seminars, mental health workshops and an on-site athletic therapist.
A development is currently underway to transform what was previously the building’s former restaurant and allow the global fitness brand to open later this year.
The deal with Anytime Fitness is part of a larger site master plan for Lynch Wood Park, which will involve transforming the estate into a business hub.
Additional plans include creating a new on-site restaurant and food court, renovating all common areas, and redesigning the lake located in the park. A new reception is already in place as well as toilets in the Nene building.
Anytime Fitness clubs are independently owned by local business people and have around 185 locations open across the UK and Ireland. “The agreement with Anytime Fitness provides for a change of use for the ground floor of Lynch Wood Park and demonstrates the flexibility and appeal this building offers to potential tenants.
