David Beckham hasn’t played professionally for nearly a decade now, but he’s retained his famously lean, athletic physique and still looks set to step onto the pitch at 47. He frequently shares information about his workout routine on social media, posting clips of the workouts that help him stay in peak physical condition, including intense ab wheel sessions to help sculpt that six-pack, plus resistance training and sprints.

In fact, the retired football star has remained in such good shape in his mid-40s that there has even been speculation that he’s had some work done. Beckham has denied such rumors, and the most likely conclusion is, of course, that he understands the importance of following a healthy and active lifestyle.

More recently, Beckham teamed up with famed celebrity trainer and F45 founder Gunnar Peterson to create his own F45 workouts inspired by his own fitness regimen and training experience from his football career. The new classes, dubbed “DB45”, will be available in F45 slots starting May 11.

“For me, training as part of a team has always been my favorite way to train, and my DB45 program is influenced by the drills I did as a professional footballer,” Beckham said in a statement. Press release. “F45 always brings innovative and effective workouts to the schedule, and I’m thrilled that the F45 community can finally try mine.”

Beckham – an investor in F45 – can be seen demonstrating some of the cardio-heavy class multidirectional exercises in a new video on his Instagram. “I can’t wait for you all to try it,” he wrote.
