Jammu Tawi: To instill the spirit of staying healthy, the military organized a youth interaction session on the merits of fitness. The military organized a volleyball match and an awareness conference on “the importance of physical fitness” at Block Doongi in Rajouri District (J&K). Understanding the benefits of physical fitness, implementing physical activities, healthy eating settings help maintain good health and improve overall quality of life. Physical fitness results in strong bones, harmonious cardiovascular functions, strong muscles which improve health and reduce the risk of several diseases like blood pressure, diabetes. It stops stress and makes you feel better. The event began with a volleyball match between locals and the military followed by a fitness conference. The enthusiasm shown by the attendees indicated that the awareness conference has a lasting impact on young people towards fitness. With dedicated practices, they will channel their energy towards a positive diffusion in society. A large number of young people attended the event.
