PELHAM – 24th Health Club, an Alabama-based gym franchise, is slated to open its sixth statewide location in the town of Pelham in September.
24th was started in 2010 by Wayne Alford when the first location opened in Hoover. Alford wanted to create a gym with an emphasis on “costs, cleanliness, schedules and well-maintained equipment and facilities,” according to the company’s website.
According to Doug Wyatt, who will run this location and led three other 24th locations, the company wanted to offer the same quality of health club as the Gold’s Gym provided at this location.
This new facility is easily accessible and located in the heart of Pelham at 2244 Pelham Parkway, where Gold’s Gym was previously located.
“We’re 24 hours a day,” Wyatt said. “This location was a great location and a very popular place for a health club when Gold’s Gym was here. They had a lot of members who are very excited that we are moving into this building. “
24e sets itself apart from other health clubs by taking advantage of the same services they offer, but providing them around the clock, and updating and improving everything that was offered to Gold’s Gym customers.
“We offer everything you could possibly want from a gym,” Wyatt said. “There are free weight machines, fully stocked locker rooms, saunas, steam room, indoor running track, racquetball and this place has a swimming pool.”
The gym will also have a nursery space for parents who want to come and train but have no one to look after their children.
Wyatt said his goal is to open the location from mid-September to the end of September, but there is no official date yet.
24e is organizing a special pre-registration offer for a monthly subscription of $ 19 for the first 1,000 members to join online or on site. Membership is reciprocal and will allow access to other 24th health club locations.
